The third most exciting segment in the market after B-class sedans and A-class hatchbacks is C-class CUV. If the Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V raced against each other in previous years, the Hyundai Tucson will have a step forward in 2020 to keep up.
In 2019, Tucson’s sales volume was about 5,000 cars less than the leading position (CR-V).
Among competitors, Honda CR-V is the model with the most sales fluctuations.

The assembled version of the CR-V added the Honda Sensing safety technology package and slightly changed appearance, launched at the end of July. Sales then gradually improved and increased towards the end of the year.

Tucson caused a big surprise in the early part of 2020 when it at one point surpassed the two leading Japanese models in the segment.

Hyundai Tucson is similar to Mazda’s car model, and will not upgrade its products in 2020. The advantage of being cheaper than its two Japanese competitors helps Tucson maintain its appeal when the CX-5 and CR-V are unstable in supply.
In the remaining group, the Nissan X-Trail in 2020 is almost `missing` because of supply interruption during the distributor transition period.
