Little-known doctor took care of Mr. Trump's health during his election campaign 6
When increasingly mocking President Joe Biden’s health condition, former President Donald Trump late last year released a report on his health condition after 3 years of leaving the White House.
However, this assessment is somewhat contrary to the detailed medical report that the White House published during his term.
Mr. Trump’s new medical report was led by Bruce A. Aronwald, a 64-year-old orthopedic doctor in New Jersey.
The general health status of Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump is considered one of the most important issues for the majority of voters in the presidential election.
When asked to comment on Trump’s latest medical report, Dr. Aronwald said he had no reason to reveal more about the former president’s health before the election.
`President Trump does not need to release any medical reports other than the one recently released. The President is healthy and cognitively sharp, in general he is in excellent health,` said Dr. Aronwald.

Commentator S. Jay Olshansky, author of an article comparing the health of Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden in Active Aging magazine in 2020, said Aronwald’s report lacked necessary information about the former president’s health status.
President Biden previously released a 6-page report, detailing blood test indicators, health status and medications used.
Aronwald is not famous in the US, but is said to be a respected doctor locally, having succeeded with private care services for well-off clients like Mr. Trump.
At the Beminster golf club, members said Dr. Aronwald spent a lot of time with Mr. Trump and the former president’s family.
Mr. Trump also repeatedly praised Aronwald, who has taken care of his health since 2021, after he left the White House.
`Aronwald is one of the best doctors in New Jersey and probably in the entire United States. He is very famous and I have many friends who have been his patients over the years. He is a wonderful doctor.`
Information about Mr. Trump’s health was previously handled by a personal doctor and White House doctors.
Mr. Trump’s detailed medical report was not immediately released.
As the 2016 White House campaign heated up, Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton released a detailed health report and challenged Mr. Trump to do the same.
With increasing pressure, Bornstein conducted another medical examination for Mr. Trump.
During his presidency, Mr. Trump’s first doctor was Ronny Jackson.
The results are very detailed, stating that Mr. Trump’s weight has increased from 107 kg to 108 kg.
But some doctors and experts at that time said that the report showed that Mr. Trump was at risk of heart disease, when the coronary calcium index was at 133, exceeding the normal threshold of 100.
Jackson, currently a Republican congressman representing Texas, is a strong supporter of Mr. Trump and criticized President Biden’s health condition.
In November 2019, Mr. Trump unexpectedly went to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and his spokesman said the 2-hour trip was for a routine health check.
Mr. Trump released test results in 2019 and 2020 under the supervision of Sean Conley, who was then his doctor at the White House.
Conley supports Trump’s use of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, during the Covid-19 pandemic.
After Mr. Trump was infected with Covid-19 in the fall of 2020, Conley downplayed the severity of the president’s condition, contrary to information from White House officials.
While Conley announced that Trump had recovered and had no symptoms, the president’s chief of staff Mark Meadows said at the time that the former president’s condition was much worse.
Since his failed re-election bid, Mr. Trump has not updated any further information about his health situation until Aronwald released a new report.

Ira Monka, president of the American Orthopedic Association, said Aronwald and Mr. Biden’s personal physician, Kevin C. O’Connor, both specialize in orthopedics.
Jack Kripsak, a doctor who has known Aronwald for 50 years, said Aronwald initially provided health care services for Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka and Jared Kushner, who also have their own mansion in Bedminster.
`It was quite a surprise to Bruce. He called me and said ‘President Trump asked me to become his personal doctor,’` Kripsak said.
Sandeep Tungare, a software developer and donor to Mr. Biden’s election campaign, said he had been a patient of Aronwald for the past 30 years and had never heard the doctor express his views on politics.
`I think he’s a good doctor,` Tungare said.
In the November 23, 2023 report on Mr. Trump’s health, Aronwald said that he conducted Trump’s most recent medical examination on September 23, 2023.
`Mr. Trump’s overall health is excellent,` Aronwald wrote in the report.
