The incident happened on January 16, when Elle Darby, a famous name on social media, emailed the White Moose Café & Charleville Lodge hotel in Dublin, Ireland.
She planned to go to Dublin on vacation on February 14 with her husband, so she asked the hotel to let her book a free room.

After receiving the email, hotel owner Paul Stenson wrote a letter of refusal.
In his reply, Paul asked Elle back: `If you stay for free, who will pay the staff who serve you? Who will pay the waiter to serve you breakfast, the maid to clean the room,
Paul also said that the hotel has two Facebook accounts, with a following of up to 186,000 people.
The hotel owner also advised Elle that next time, she should pay instead of asking for free.
Elle then posted a 13-minute video on YouTube talking about how shocked she was by the hotel owner’s reaction.

Elle `posted` to express her anger at hotel owner Paul Stenson.
The hotel owner’s response also received a `storm` of criticism and reaction from the public.
`If I go to Dublin, I definitely won’t stay at your hotel,` one person left a comment right below Paul’s post.
Although public opinion reacted strongly, the hotel owner still maintained his opinion.
In addition, Paul also wrote a separate letter apologizing to the blogger community and said he did not target them for criticism.
Paul said bloggers were too demanding of their rights.
However, with this new opinion, Paul received a lot of support from tourists as well as many bloggers – people who are always aware of spending money to pay for the products and services they use.
